Now here's a little bit of a blast from the past.
Some of our readers may remember Scottish songstress Mary Kiani from the 1990s when she spent time in the British mainstream charts and club charts across the globe with tracks like 'I Imagine', '100%', 'Let The Music Play' and perhaps her biggest success 'When I Call Your Name'.
She also collaborated with local producer Steve Peach on the Australia only track 'Wrap You Up', years later releasing 'The Sydney Sessions' album.
Flash forward to 2012 and the singer is seemingly back with a new album for EMI, though when pressed, no-one's been able to give us any idea as to what it's all about.
Mary, now an Aussie resident, has recorded a selection of cover versions for the new release, most of them old school standards. The three tracks serviced to media are the title track, 'My Baby Just Cares For Me' and 'Feelin' Good'.
We'll bring you more information when it comes to hand.
UPDATE : The album was seemingly released independently back in February and is available via our local iTunes store. How EMI fits in the picture is still a mystery.
