The wraps have come off details of Bertie Blackman's forthcoming album 'Pope Innocent X'. The new album, the singer's fourth, will be released in late August and is set to feature eleven new recordings, including the lead single 'Mercy Killer', which dropped at digital retail recently.
To celebrate the new album's impending release, Bertie's giving her fans in Sydney and Melbourne the chance to hear some of the new material live, announcing two very special shows in the middle of next month.
Tickets for both dates (below) are on sale on Wednesday June 20.
July 13 : Sydney (The Standard)
July 17 : Melbourne (Corner Hotel)
Bertie is also taking to the stage at the upcoming Splendour In The Grass in Byron Bay at the end of July.
But back to the album briefly and Bertie is obviously thrilled with what she's created with 'Pope Innocent X'.
"I’m feeling really proud about this piece of work," she said in a statement. "It’s taken my whole career to get to a point to make something like this – I wanted to make my mark."
'Pope Innocent X' is released on Friday August 24.
