NEW KIDS' TOUR & TUCAN

We first got wind of New Zealand duo Sam McCarthy and Jordan Arts (aka Kids Of 88) back in 2010 when they'd just dropped their debut single 'My House' here in Australia and were on the verge of releasing their debut album.
That was almost two years back, but now many meals at the Sky Crane Chinese Takeaway at Roskill in Auckland later, the boys are back with a brand new tune to share - and they've announced that they'll be heading our way next month to play the new material live for their Aussie devotees.
The new Kids Of 88 track is called 'Tucan' - a wonderful, tribal, percussive piece that once again cements them as one of the most exciting acts to ever come out of the land of the long white cloud. It's a simple drum beat, a cacophony of hand-claps and the occasional note or six on the keys that are overlayed with Sam's hushed vocals and the occasional interlude from Alisa Xayalith of The Naked And Famous fame.
The clip is stunning, taking us on a journey through some of the most spectacular scenery - and from the rainforests to the rocky ocean shores, it's like one big, divine, breathtaking postcard from New Zealand.
'Tucan' is the first single to be lifted from the band's forthcoming album 'Modern Love' and if this track is any indication of what the album's going to be like when it drops later this year, there's every good reason to get very, very excited. Breathe it in, pop kids. We're loving this.
