We can't tell you how happy we are that Guy Sebastian has ditched the R&B/dance hybrid sound for his latest single 'Gold'. 'Cause this new tune is precisely what Guy does best - oozing with class and old school soul.
'Gold' sounds like it could have been ripped straight from the streets of '60s Detroit, what with its flashy brass, gorgeous gospel chorus and Guy's insane pitch-perfect vocal.
The clip continues with the '60s vibe, stripping out the colour in a warehouse setting until just before the closing stanzas when all that glitters truly IS gold. 'The Voice' contestant Carmen Smith provides the backing vocal amazingness here, giving her star an even greater chance to shine on the hit Channel 9 show.
'Gold' is quite simply pure, unadulterated joy.

Such a vibrant catchy song. Guy Sebastian is such an amazing artist. He never fails to deliver great songs and great concerts. I totally cannot wait for June to come to go and see him LIVE on tour!

It sounds similar to 'You Can't Stop The Beat' from Hairspray.

Sooo good. And his live performance on DWTS last night was excellent too. He's such a great live show - now wishing I'd bought tickets for more concerts. (Sandra)
