They've not even left our shores yet - and it may be some time before we see them in Australia again, but One Direction tonight confirmed that they will indeed be back in Australia next year for an arena tour (though venues have yet to be announced). That said, they're making local fans wait an especially long time for it. We'll see Niall, Liam, Louis, Zayn and Harry on tour in September... NEXT year. Yes, 2013.
However, given the boys' current tour sold out completely in just three minutes and that the One Direction Infection is white hot right now (so hot, we were accosted for our tickets when we went along to see them this week in Melbourne), it's anticipated the dates announced today will also sell super-fast.
The Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide dates are all on sale on Saturday April 28. The Perth onsale date is still to be confirmed.

Am guessing that they're holding off annoucning the Perth venue until they hear when the new Perth Arena will be finished. It is over budget, over deadline and, after 11 years since our prime concert venue the Perth Entertainment Centre closed, long overdue!
Savy move announcing and selling concerts now. Strike while the iron is hot. A year is a very long time in not band world.
