MADONNA PREMIERES NEW TRACK

After first single 'Give Me All Your Luvin' didn't exactly set the charts on fire around the globe, nor here in Australia where it peaked at No.25 and has dropped to No.61 after just three weeks, Madonna is pushing head-long into the 'M.D.N.A.' project with the impending release of the album's second single 'Girl Gone Wild' (cover art attached).
Madge has premiered a lyric video on her Vevo channel so that fans around the world can get a taste of what to expect when the single drops.
We really like 'Masterpiece'. We weren't massive fans of 'Give Me All Your Luvin'. Jury's still out on this one. Your thoughts?

It's a pity she didn't just ask Benny Benassi to reconfigure "Beautiful People" for her. "GGW" just sounds a bit, well, lame, underbaked and kind of siyts in the Madonna singles catalogue listings somewhere between "Human Nature" and "Causing A Commotion" . At least the "W.E." soundtrack with "Masterpiece" is out locally now though. More William Orbit productions, please and stop with this wanting to keep up with the younger kids nonsense, Mads.

From the first previews, I was cringing at this, but now that I hear it in full, it's a fun track! Go Madge!!

This is utter crap. Give All Your Luvin was weak but at least it was listenable, unlike this... It's all the more painful when you know how she used to churn out some great pop songs. Can't believe she's reducing herself to this.

Sounds like a B-Side from decades ago.

When will this new track be available on Local iTunes?

Hey Anonymous #2,

There's been no word yet on a local iTunes release for this - we're assuming it'll be global because the news about the release came directly from the US.

I'm a huge Madonna fan, but this is pretty lame.
She looks great on the cover though!

Anyone else notice Madonna is paying homage to Cyndi Lauper with the line "Girls they just wanna have fun"?

I really dont like this at all, Its fluffy stupid dance music shes been doing the last few years and it sucks!!

She should go back to writing with Patrick Leonard and write great music e.g. True blue and Like a Prayer days.

Gurl needs some lessons with Kylie to learn to make dance music that has some class, there is just too much noise, and to sing about being a bad girl? we know that decades ago. At least we're edging closer to the confessions of a dancefloor era, hung up was perfection, polished and elegant, without the neccesity to spell "luvin" to try to stay relevant.

Not nearly as bad as I'd thought based on some reviews I've read...but really not good. Album track at best. Pretty sad considering this is single #2.

Had hoped GMAYL was chosen to coincide with Superbowl, but perhaps is best track off MDNA?!

Oh my god, this era is slaying me right now.

Another very mediocre song. Very disappointed Madge!

This is fun and catchy. What more could you want from a pop song? Would people be raving about it if it was by Katy Perry, Rihanna or Britney Spears? Probably...! I agree, though, that "Masterpiece" is the best track to emerge from the MDNA sessions so far. As for early singles being the best an album has to offer, "American Life's" fifth single, "Nothing Fails", proved that this isn't always the case. "Rain" from "Erotica" was also the fifth single released from that album and is a real gem, as is something like "La Isla Bonita" (5th single from "True Blue").
