NICOLA ROBERTS : Yo-Yo

She's been teasing us with a behind the scenes look at her latest video in recent days, but now the whole thing proper has broken cover. Yes siree... It's the official video to Nicola Roberts' brand new single 'Yo-Yo', the third official single from the Girls Aloud star's debut solo LP 'Cinderella Eyes'.
Kind of predictably, it opens with a montage of a young man playing with a yo-yo (we were always envious of people who could do tricks as kids), before Nicola bursts onto the scene trying on a selection of outfits; one, a rather gorgeous black asymmetrically-cut one-shoulder frock, another a full-length salmon pink gown. She settles for a mulberry-coloured velvety number.
Cute clip - and we're kinda digging the track too.

AVICII : Levels

It's the club track that's slowly but surely been taking the world by storm, one country at a time, over the past couple of months. It's pretty much gone top five right across Europe, has been as high as No.51 on our ARIA singles chart and has even seen top 100 action in the United States. And now Swedish DJ and producer Avicii has revealed the official video to it, which, it has to be said, is a hoot.
Essentially it's a case of;

01. Man arrives at boring office job.
02. Man's arm goes bonkers and starts graffitiing furniture.
03. Man starts busting a move in the office.
04. Man jumps on desk, knocking papers flying.
05. Man gets tasered by security guard.
06. Man falls off desk.
07. Man pushes big rock up mountain.
08. Man in morgue bed; delivers his own flowers.
09. Nurses taste his stamen (not what it sounds like).
10. Man, nurses have fits.
11. Lady nurse dials for ambulance.
12. They all dance.

NEWS WRAP

• With the music industry slowly winding down for the year, it's the perfect time for record companies to re-service tracks to media which might not have got the exposure they originally deserved. One such tune is the latest NERVO single 'We're All No One', which was re-sent by EMI this week.
• Other new singles out there this week include Chiddy Bang's 'Ray Charles', Regurgitator's new single 'Show Me', the aforementioned new single from The Potbelleez 'Feed Off Me' and a re-service of Lana Del Rey's 'Video Games'.
• Plenty of shows selling bucketloads of tickets across the country, with Stereosonic confirming that the Melbourne event this Saturday has now officially sold out.
• Also reaching total capacity is Bondi's much celebrated new years festival Shore Thing. It had officially sold out by the close of business yesterday.
• Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds have sold out their Sydney show at the Enmore on January 23 and PJ Harvey has sold out her two Sydney concerts in January, as well as her first Melbourne show. Tickets for all other dates are selling fast.
• In further tour news, British outfit Metronomy (pictured) has announced further Australian concerts in January, adding dates in both Sydney and Brisbane to that already announced in Melbourne. The band, here for Falls Festival, Field Day, Summafieldayze and Southbound, will play The Zoo in Brisbane on January 04 and Sydney's Manning Bar on January 06.
• Rock outfit Incubus has announced two new shows for their Australian tour in February. The band will play a second Melbourne concert at the city's Festival Hall on February 07 and have also announced a show in Canberra - at the Royal Theatre on February 04. Tickets for both shows are on sale on Thursday December 08.
• Aussie country music superstar John Williamson has inked a new deal with Warner Music. The singer, famous for his classic track 'True Blue', will celebrate the new partnership with the release of a brand new album entitled 'The Big Red' in January. Commenting on the new deal, the singer said, "It’s great to join with Warner Music who share the same passion for the material and I’m looking forward to what we can achieve together."
• Fellow Aussie country star Troy Cassar-Daley has revealed a brand new single entitled 'Country Is'. The track is the first to be lifted from the singer's new album 'Home', due for release on March 02. Troy will hit the road early in the new year for an extensive regional tour, kicking off in Tamworth on January 26.
• Fans of Owl City will be able to get their peepers stimulated early in the new year when Shock Records releases the star's live DVD 'Live From Los Angeles'. The release encompasses Owl City's LA show which was part of his 'All Things Bright And Beautiful' world tour. It'll hit Australian retail on DVD and BluRay on Friday February 10.
• We last caught up with Melbourne outfit The Hello Morning when they teamed up with Bertie Blackman earlier this year. They'll launch their new single 'Stone Cold Lover' on Tuesday next week with a number of live shows, including the Annandale Hotel in Sydney. Find them on TWITTER for more details.
• Looks like Rihanna and Calvin Harris are in for the long haul on the British singles chart, notching up another week on top. Olly Murs failed to dent their seemingly unassailable lead with his new single 'Dance With Me Tonight', having to settle instead for a No.2 debut. Avicii's current dancefloor anthem 'Levels' debuted at No.4, with Kelly Rowland's new single 'Down For Whatever' debuting at No.6 and Rebecca Ferguson's debut single 'Nothing's Real But Love' rounding out the top ten debuts at No.10.
• And on the UK album chart, Rihanna has bagged the No.1 position with her new long player 'Talk That Talk'. Boyband One Direction won't be too dejected with a No.2 debut for their first album 'Up All Night' and there are two more new entries in the top five - Westlife's best-of at No.4 and Kate Bush's '50 Words For Snow' at No.5. Nickelback's 'Here And Now' debuts at No.10.
One thing that will be worrying the gang at Fascination is the chart performance of girl group The Saturdays. After a No.15 debut for their single 'My Heart Takes Over' last week, their album comes in at a disappointing No.23. As mentioned earlier this week, the album has been released to our local iTunes store.

TOURING : Florence & The Machine

We were left completely in the dark on this little tour announcement (which came a couple of days ago), but Chugg Entertainment has announced that the gorgeous Florence & The Machine will return to Australia early next year for what's shaping up to be their biggest tour of the country yet.
The band, who've recently hit the No.1 spot down under with their new album 'Ceremonials', will play dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide during their May visit, playing all the tracks that fans will know and love, including their hit single 'You've Got The Love'.
Tickets for all dates are on sale on Wednesday December 07.

ALOE CANCELS ADELAIDE, MOVES MELBOURNE

Not such good news for South Australian fans of American soul singer Aloe Blacc, with news from Frontier Touring today that the singer has cancelled his January 6 Adelaide date, set down for the Thebarton Theatre.
The cancellation is said to be due to "unforeseen logistical issues".
The cancellation of the Adelaide date has also resulted in the rescheduling of the singer's Melbourne date (and venue).
Aloe's Melbourne concert was originally slated for January 01 at the city's Palace Theatre, but will now move to the Trak Lounge on January 06.
All Adelaide ticketholders must go to VenueTix for a full refund, while Melbourne punters can use their Palace Theatre tickets at the new venue. However, Frontier has advised that doors for the new January 06 gig will open at 8:30pm, not 7:30pm as stated on current tickets.
Aloe hit the big time earlier this year with his debut single 'I Need A Dollar' finding a home inside the ARIA top 20.
Sony recently issued a deluxe CD/DVD edition of his album 'Good Things'.

January 03 : Brisbane (The Tivoli)
January 04 : Sydney (Enmore Theatre)
January 06 : Melbourne (Trak Lounge)

FEED OFF THE POTBELLEEZ

Aussie dance/pop outfit The Potbelleez has this week seen their brand new single 'Feed Off Me' serviced to local media.
The track is the fifth track to be lifted from the band's latest album 'Destination Now', and follows on from their delicious single 'Midnight Midnight' and their double platinum smash 'From The Music', though our insider tells us that 'Feed Off Me' was originally slated to be the lead single.
The track has a slightly rockier edge to it, courtesy of some live drums and bass from Aussie rock gods The Vines and a video, expected soon, was filmed in the UK, Ireland and France.
'Feed Off Me' is released digitally on Monday.
In the meantime, the band has almost wrapped up their national tour - with a date in Byron Bay tomorrow night and the Breakout Festival in Sydney on Friday night, before performing a slew of shows in Queensland.

MS FEST MOVES TO HOBART

After that strange little kerfuffle earlier this year between the original creators of MS Fest and their jumping ship to the Breath Of Life Festival, there were rumblings that the Tasmanian city of Launceston couldn't handle both festivals.
The easy solution? Move MS Fest to the Tasmanian capital Hobart on a different weekend and offer a different line-up; a bigger population is just one of the positives.
It'll hit Hobart's TCA Ground on Saturday March 03 - the weekend before the Breath Of Life Festival hits Launceston.
MS Fest will deliver upon the good people of Hobart a swag of top name talent, who were named as part of the recent line-up announcement.
The Naked & Famous are in, so too Roots Manuva, Amy Meredith, Muscles, Grafton Primary, Bluejuice, Little Red, Salmonella Dub Sound System, Ajax, Bomb The Bass, Grafton Primary, Sparkadia and many more.
And, of course, all proceeds go to support MS, a disease which is particularly prevalent in Tassie.
All the guff is available over at the OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
Tickets for MS Fest 2012 are on sale at 9am today.

CORBY ADDS LAUNCHES

Sydney singer Matt Corby's certainly doing something right - after earlier this month revealing extra launch shows for his new 'Into The Flame' EP, he's gone and done it again, adding a fourth show to his Melbourne visit, as well as dates in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
The singer will also support Canadian songstress Feist for her Adelaide date in early February.
'Into The Flame' jumped a respectable 30 places on this week's ARIA singles chart and currently sits at No.62.

VANESSA ANNOUNCES MELBOURNE SHOWS

Her new album 'V' may be on the backburner for the time being (due to the non-performance of her recent singles 'Gossip' and 'Amazing'), but that hasn't stopped Aussie pop singer Vanessa Amorosi from announcing a quartet of live dates in Melbourne to co-incide with her upcoming support appearance on the INXS tour.
Vanessa will play a Melbourne date at the city's Trak Lounge on January 13, followed by a trio of suburban dates, as well as another show; part of the city's Zoo Twilight series.

SEARCH FOR SUPAFEST STAR

Kelly Rowland is in. So too Trey Songz, Lupe Fiasco and even Diddy. But what about you?
The gang from Paperchase (the people behind the all-conquering Supafest R&B/urban festival) are throwing open their doors to potential new performers to take to the stage as part of next year's events - and entries are now open.
They're asking local R&B/urban performers to complete an online registration before December 19, uploading a bio and a video to YouTube.
They'll whittle the entries down to the best 50, then will throw it open for the public to decide on January 05 next year.
The winner bags a slot on the Supafest stage in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, return flights to each show, a tour manager, luxury hotels, private dressing room and much, much more.
Best you check out the OFFICIAL WEBSITE for all the details, then.

MODEL BUCKLES UP

For those who've been watching Channel 9's hit TV show 'Celebrity Apprentice', the guy on the left hand side of this cover image might look altogether familiar.
He's model and actor Didier Cohen. And it turns out that he also has another little skill up his sleeve - he's a rather accomplished MC, who's lent his talents to this brand new track from the OneLove stable.
The track is produced by one of the country's hottest up and coming DJs - in Tenzin Stark - and together, they've come together to create new duo 'TEN-D.M.C.'; Ten short for Tenzin and presumably D.M.C. for Didier MC.
Though the track won't be to everyone's liking, it possesses a current enough sound to guarantee the OneLove team at least some airplay on some of Australian radio's more dancier playlists.
The track was released via iTunes on the weekend.

SATURDAYS ON YOUR LOCAL RADAR

Sometimes, just sometimes, there comes from afar a little poptastic ray of light onto the Australian iTunes store, unbeknownst to many (including us). But (and you have auspOp reader Paul to thank for this) sometimes eager local fans discover these little hidden treats.
One such treat is 'On Your Radar' - the brand new album from British girl group The Saturdays.
Yes indeed, the 14 track album, featuring the singles 'Notorious', 'All Fired Up' and the new track 'My Heart Takes Over', is now available to purchase from the Australian iTunes store.
Some of the biggest names behind pop have co-penned tracks on the new album including Miranda Cooper, Brian Higgins, Steve Mac, Rami and Carl Falk. Gym Class Heroes lead singer Travie McCoy guest vocals on a track called 'The Way You Watch Me'.
'On Your Radar' debuted at a disappointing No.23 on this week's UK albums chart.

Just as tickets have gone on sale for a swag of Big Day Out sideshows this morning (including headline dates for Kasabian, My Chemical Romance, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Royksopp, Cage The Elephant and Odd Future), the gang at BDO head office have moments ago announced that two more of their big name artists have announced sideshows during their visit.

Tickets for all shows are on sale on Tuesday December 06.

BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS : A Different Kind Of Light

We were first introduced to the delights of Bright Young Things in November last year when the generous lads (AJ and Jon) were giving away their six track debut EP as a free download.
Twelve months, more than a little support from Triple J and a stack of hard work later, the boys have unveiled the video to their second single 'A Different Kind Of Light'.
It's packed with synths, drums, disco beats and a whole lotta feel-good vocals and is yet another step towards achieving fame, fortune and possibly just a little bit of pop notoriety.
The clip? Well it's like a postcard of Melbourne, we suppose - as a somewhat reflective young man goes about sampling the city's delights - feeding pigeons, riding the rails, shopping, bemusing pedestrians, eating, drinking, trying to hire a bike...
It's quite the adventure. You could could say he has a (disco) ball!

SNEAKY SPARKLES AT STARS OF SUMMER

Aussie pop peeps Sneaky Sound System (pictured) and Havana Brown sparkled on glorious Sydney Harbour on Saturday night in Take 40's Stars Of Summer event.
Held at the luxurious Point Piper mansion, Stars Of Summer treated an assembled crowd of VIPs to a swag of hits songs from both outfits, including Havana's singles 'We Run The Night' and 'Get It' and Sneaky's biggest and best including 'We Love', 'UFO' and 'I Love It'.
Thankfully it's not just those in attendance who'll get to experience the magic, however, with the whole event filmed for broadcast on TV.
You can catch 'Stars Of Summer' on GO! Channel on Sunday December 11 at 2:00pm, on Channel 9 on Wednesday December 14 at 12:30am and on MTV on Friday December 16 at 8:30pm.

BEYONCE : Dance For You

Soul queen Beyonce looks like she's out to set some kind of record for the most number of video clips released from one album.
Clips for 'Love On Top' and 'Party' premiered last month - and now she's done it again, debuting the official video for album track 'Dance For You'.
This too must have been filmed yonks ago, because like the clip to 'Party' this time last month, there's not an ounce of baby bump to be seen as she steams up the camera with all the grace and style of a '50s screen siren.
In fact, just watching this, we can pretty much understand how B got herself up the duff in the first place... Putting it plainly, she's sex on legs.

LOOKBACK

DEBORAH COX : Who Do U Love

Though Canadian songstress Deborah Cox may have had a few massive club bangers afterwards (see: 'Nobody's Supposed To Be Here', 'Absolutely Not', 'It's Over Now'), it was her second single - 1996's 'Who Do U Love' which was her one and only Aussie smash single.
It peaked at No.11 on the ARIA singles chart and introduced us to a brand new, bright-eyed soul star with a sound not dissimilar to that British girl group Eternal had been releasing a couple of years earlier.
The clip features Deb and her gal pals giving as good as they get with their good-for-nuttin' boyfriends, who've clearly been up to no good. What Deb sees in her Kramer look-a-like man we'll never know. Choreographed routines out on the streets ensue.
Great track.

IL DIVO ADDS SYDNEY SECONDS

Demand for tickets to Il Divo's February visit next year seem to be particularly strong in Sydney, where the quartet have this morning announced a second date as part of the Aussie leg of their tour.
Sébastien, Carlos, David and Urs kick off the tour in Sydney on Valentines Day next year, before moving through Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, with a stop at Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley.
But tickets for their Sydney show must be selling rather well, because their touring company Live Nation has this morning announced a second show at the city's Opera House Concert Hall - on Wednesday February 15.
Tickets for the new date are on sale this Friday.

February 14 : Sydney (Opera House Concert Hall)
February 15 : Sydney (Opera House Concert Hall) NEW SHOW
February 17 : Melbourne (Sidney Myer Music Bowl)
February 18 : Hunter Valley (Hope Estate Winery)
February 20 : Brisbane (Convention Centre)

TOURING : NKOTBSB

Don't say we didn't give you the heads-up about this one...
The team at Live Nation has this morning indeed announced a tour by boyband supergroup NKOTBSB. The group consists of both New Kids On The Block and the Backstreet Boys and they'll be delivering a massive back catalogue of hits to the good people of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide in May next year.
If our fans want us down under, we'll go down under,” New Kids On The Block's Donnie Wahlberg said in a statement released today. “Our international fans have been flying to see us stateside for years, so now we are bringing the show to them. Get ready Australia, we are coming to you!"
Prepare yourself to be mesmerised by such classics as 'Step By Step', 'You Got It (The Right Stuff)', 'Hangin' Tough', 'Everybody (Backstreet's Back)', 'Larger Than Life', 'As Long As You Love Me' and 'I Want It That Way'.
Tickets for all shows are on sale at the special time of 2pm on Thursday December 08.

CHART WATCH

X Factor winner Reece Mastin has beaten all comers on the ARIA singles chart this week to debut at No.1 - a pretty amazing effort considering he did so on just over 48 hours of sales. In the meantime, there are two debuts inside the top ten on the ARIA albums chart; one at No.1. But does No.1 belong to Rihanna? Welcome to this week's Chart Watch.

SINGLES
Sony Music boasted during the week that X Factor winner Reece Mastin had sold more than 32,000 copies of his debut single 'Good Night' on Wednesday alone (equalling a sale of the track every 2.7 seconds). From there it was going to be a pretty tough ask for anything else to come close to catching him. And given the track has stayed in the No.1 spot on iTunes for the last few days, it's still selling well. Reece debuts at No.1 with a gold sales accreditation to his name - a very nice 17th birthday present.
LMFAO's 'Sexy And I Know It' suffered at the hands of not only Reece, but also Ed Sheeran, whose Aussie visit helped his single 'The A Team' stay steady at No.2.
X Factor judge Guy Sebastian managed a No.7 debut for his new single 'Don't Worry Be Happy' after his performance of the track on The X Factor Grand Final, while One Direction moves up to No.8 with 'What Makes You Beautiful' and Taio Cruz (featuring Flo Rida) has another top ten hit on his hands with 'Hangover' - moving up to No.9.
Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and Bruno Mars also move into the top ten - at No.10 - with their collaborative effort 'Young, Wild & Free'.
Making a run for the top is Coldplay's 'Paradise', which reaches a new peak of No.13 this week and Nickelback joins them in the top 20 with their new single 'When We Stand Together'; it's up from No.28 to No.20.
EMI looks like they've belatedly updated the accreditations for David Guetta and Sia's smash 'Titanium'. Although the track dropped from No.13 to No.22 this week, it picked up double platinum accreditation in the process - platinum last week, three times platinum (210,000 copies) this week.
The 'Glee' mash-up of 'Rumour Has It/Someone Like You' has bumped itself northwards by eleven spots - up to No.28 this week, while Israel Cruz' 'Party Up' makes its way into the top 50, settling in the No.33 position.
Rihanna's new single 'You Da One' doesn't appear to be in a hurry - shuffling into the top 50 at No.41 and just four places below, her appearance on the new Drake single 'Take Care' sees it enjoy a top 50 debut.
Rihanna album track 'Where Have You Been' debuts at No.46, 360 and Gossling have a top 50 hit on their hands and The Fray's 'You Found Me' re-enters the charts at No.50.
Outside the top 50, Bruno Mars' 'Count On Me' is up to No.52, the title track of Rihanna's album 'Talk Like That' debuts at No.61, Matt Corby's 'Into The Flame' has an asterisk beside it, jumping 30 places to No.62 and Lana Del Ray's 'Video Games' moves from No.79 to No.64.
Adele's track 'Rumour Has It' debuts at No.69 after the Glee tribute, club banger 'Super Soaker' by Bombs Away moves up 16 spots to No.74 and Havana Brown's 'Get It' is headed in the other direction - down from No.51 to No.78.
Australia's One Direction fans are out in force - even giving the band's 'b-side' - 'Na Na Na' - its own chart position. It debuts at No.84, while Stereophonics' 'Dakota' re-emerges at No.87 (thanks to the X Factor) and the Glee Cast are back in action at No.90 with their mash-up of 'Hit Me With Your Best Shot' and 'One Way Or Another'.
Michael Jackson's 'Immortal Megamix' debuted at No.41 last week; this week it's gone from the top 100.

ALBUMS
Thought the No.1 album would belong to Rihanna? Think again...
Debuting in the No.1 position on the ARIA album chart this week are much maligned Canadian outfit Nickelback and their new album 'Here And Now'. It's the band's first ever No.1 album in Australia, bettering 2005's 'All The Right Reasons', which peaked at No.2.
Last week's No.1 - Susan Boyle's 'Someone To Watch Over Me' - slides to No.4, with Adele moving up to No.2 and Michael Buble moving down to No.3.
New at No.5 is Rihanna and her new album 'Talk That Talk' - a kinda surprising debut given her massively popular hit 'We Found Love' (with Calvin Harris) and the fact that the album was made available in both standard and deluxe editions.
Drake's album 'Take Care' can't quite match its No.1 debut in the US here in Australia - settling for a No.15 position instead.
Stan Walker's new dance-focussed LP 'Let The Music Play' is in at No.18 and Kate Bush's '50 Words For Snow' debuts at No.22.
David Campbell's '80s covers album 'Let's Go' debuts at No.23, Snow Patrol's 'Fallen Empires' debuts at No.24 and Dolly Parton's tour sees her album 'Better Day' spend its fourth week on the ARIA albums chart at No.29.
Daughtry's new long player 'Break The Spell' makes it in at No.32, the Aussie repackage of Elton John's 'Rocket Man : The Definitive Hits' sees it re-enter the charts at No.38 and the 'Rewiggled' compile looks like dropping rapidly - after three weeks it's down to No.50.
Outside the top 50, the lovely Judith Durham debuts at No.57 with her new 50 year retrospective 'Colours Of My Life', Steel Panther's 'Balls Out' re-emerges at No.69, the R.E.M. best-of 'Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage : 1982-2011' debuts at No.71 and the 'Best Of The Best' compile by Frank Sinatra is in at No.77.
The Script's album 'Science & Faith' spends its one year anniversary in the chart at No.90.

SATURDAY NEWS WRAP #77

• Reece Mastin has spent the rest of the post-X Factor week on top of the iTunes singles chart, putting him in good stead for a No.1 debut on the official ARIA charts tomorrow. Find out where Reece debuted with our Chart Watch, tomorrow morning at 9am AEDT. Reece's debut, self-titled album, meanwhile, is due for release on December 09.
• Congratulations go to Ben Wells & The Middle Names, who this week walked away as winners of the 2011 Triple J 'Unearthed' competition. The Hobart-based indie outfit will be heading on stage at the upcoming Falls Festival in Marion Bay to celebrate their win and will release their debut EP 'House, Come Home' in March next year.
• US outfit Foster The People have added their names to the swag of Big Day Out sideshows that will hit Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in January next year. The band kicks things off at The Tivoli in the Queensland capital on January 23 before hitting the Enmore in Sydney on January 25 and the Palace in Melbourne on January 30. Tickets for all shows are on sale on Monday.
• Organisers of Sydney's Harbour Party have added Yolanda Be Cool to this year's line-up, as they announced that the first release tickets to the Luna Park event have now officially sold out. Wynter Gordon, The Potbelleez and Zoë Badwi headline the December 31 concert.
• Pryamid Rock organisers have confirmed that indie songstress Bertie Blackman has pulled out of the new years event due to continued recording commitments for her forthcoming album. In a statement, Bertie said that, "she simply isn’t ready to take her new band and songs to the live arena". Blue King Brown is amongst a host of other performers who'll attempt to fill the void.
• Aussie country trio The McClymonts have announced that they're coming home to kick off a March/April tour of Australia with a show at Tamworth's Jayco Country Theatre on Wednesday January 25. The girls will also perform their new single 'How Long', which is due to go to radio on January 16. They've told fans to expect the single in both digital and physical formats.
• Speaking of country, more names have been added to the 2012 version of CMC Rocks The Hunter. US country superstar Wynonna Judd is the latest addition, along with fellow US act Tracy Lawrence and ex-pats Sherrie Austin and O’Shea.
• US electro-pop outfit Chairlift has revealed Laneway Festival sideshows early in the new year. The duo will play the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on January 31 and the East Brunswick Club in Melbourne on February 07.
• Aussie songstress Kate Ceberano returns to Melbourne's Trak Lounge in the middle of December by popular demand. The soul/pop singer (and part-time TV presenter) will play a bunch of her hits including 'Pash' and 'Bedroom Eyes'. Catch her on December 16.
• Over in the US, Rihanna and Calvin Harris still lead the pack on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with their smash hit 'We Found Love'. Bruno Mars has smashed into the top five with his 'Twilight' single 'It Will Rain' and Drake and Rihanna are into the top ten with a No.9 debut for 'Take Care'.
• And on the Billboard 200 album chart, Drake has smashed into the No.1 position with his new LP 'Take Care'. It sold a staggering 631,000 copies in its first week to bag the No.1 position ahead of Michael Buble's 'Christmas' and Adele's all-conquering '21'. Andrew Bocelli's 'Concerto' made a respectable debut at No.4 and the new Glee Christmas album came in at No.6.

JASON DERULO : Fight For You

Trawling through his '80s record collection, Jason has picked up a few lyrics from Toto's 1982 classic 'Africa' and has popped them into 'Fight For You' - the latest single to be lifted from his recent album 'Future History'.
The clip? Well after downing a couple of shots (cue another non-too-subtle product placement), Jason and his gal head out onto the subway for a little adventure in the big city.
Meantime, his adventures down below are intercut with images of him dancing up a storm up above - on the rooftops no less.
There are also some steamy shower shots and a night-time walk on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Great little adventures, however, don't make up for what we reckon is a pretty lacklustre song that relies heavily on the Toto sample to keep things interesting.

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH RICKI-LEE

Ricki-Lee's been taking her sweet-ass time in revealing the official video for her latest single 'Raining Diamonds', but in a behind-the-scenes sneaky-peek, released yesterday, we at least get a bit of an idea what to expect when it finally does (various news outlets are reporting that it will go live on Friday).
It looks rather impressive too - with Ricki-Lee busting some choreography, sporting a funky metallic bustier, complete with futuristic shoulder pads, afront an almost glacial backdrop.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product now.
'Raining Diamonds' is currently sitting at No.19 on the ARIA singles chart and is just inside the top 40 on iTunes.

NKOTBSB TO TOUR?

Now we're not usually ones for speculation here at auspOp, preferring instead to focus on the facts. However, this little image (left) from the team at TICKETEK has Aussie boyband fans licking their lips with breathless anticipation.
Could it be that this Sunday the team at Live Nation will be announcing an Australian visit by doubled-up super boyband NKOTBSB (that'd be New Kids On The Block and the Backstreet Boys combined)?
While we can't confirm anything whatsoever, the silhouetted image they've provided (above) certainly looks rather identical to the official press shot of the boys below.
No doubt all will be revealed on Sunday.

CEE LO GREEN : Anyway

Well if this new track from Cee Lo Green doesn't bring a little splash of sunshine into your day, we don't know what will!
'Anyway' is the first single to be lifted from a deluxe edition of Cee Lo's album 'The Lady Killer', which has already spawned the mega-hit 'F**k You' and soulfully superb subsequent singles 'It's OK' and 'Bright Lights Bigger City'.
He may be the most unlikely of pop stars visually, but it's that voice that gets him over the line every single time - super-smooth, incredibly powerful, capable of some razor-sharp falsetto (see: the chorus) and a bloody good groove that just sucks you in and has you dancing in no time.
Please, Warner, let this track be swarming all over our summer radio playlists.

SCRIPTING A NEW DVD

Just a couple more release dates to go between now and Christmas, with Sony Music next week delivering us a brand new live DVD from Irish outfit The Script.
'Homecoming : Live At The Aviva Stadium Dublin' captures the boys living it up on their home soil in front of an extraordinary 54,000 fans, performing all the hits that have made them famous including 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', 'For The First Time' and their top five Aussie single 'Breakeven'.
A deluxe edition will also be released; this version features a bonus 68 minute documentary, which follows the band behind the scenes of the tour, including some of their Australian dates earlier this year.
The 'Homecoming : Live At The Aviva Stadium Dublin' DVD is released in Australia on Friday December 02.

RONAN ADDS SYDNEY, MELBOURNE

X Factor judge and singer Ronan Keating must be doing something right here in Australia - tickets for his national tour only went on sale at 9am today and already he's sold out concerts in both Sydney and Melbourne.
As a result, the team at Michael Coppel has immediately added second dates for both cities, tickets for which are on sale now.
Ronan will be joined on all dates by Sharon Corr, one quarter of the internationally acclaimed Irish sibling quartet The Corrs.
The tour kicks off at Sydney's State Theatre on Australia Day, touring the country and finally ending with a 'Day On The Green' event at Kings Park & Botanic Gardens in Perth in mid February.

FAKER SET FREE

Aussie outfit Faker realises that they've been keeping their fans waiting for what seems like an eternity for their new album 'Get Loved'. The new album, to be released via their record label EMI, is still on the release schedule for a January 27 release - a full two months away.
But in a brutally honest statement released by lead singer Nathan yesterday, he claims that another two months is way too long for their ever-patient fans to wait.
"A less than well-attended tour, people unsure of who or what the band is, it swiftly became, or has become, apparent to ourselves and the powers that be, that a January release date wont work," he said, adding that with the support of EMI, the band has decided to unleash 'Get Loved' onto the world a little sooner than expected - and for a whole lot less than expected.
"After some careful negotiations with working comrades, we as a team have figured out that we can give our record away for free and get to work on the next one - like we were always meant to.
"For those of you that have been incredibly patient and have made the effort to discover and listen to our new music, we thank you and want you to know that we're doing this for you. If we hold this record back any longer, it'll just feel like we're taking the piss," he said.
Therefore the brand new Faker album will be released as a free download in its entirety from the band's OFFICIAL WEBSITE as of midday next Friday, December 02. From here on in, work begins on creating the next Faker record.
Read the full open letter from Nathan at Faker's OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
