RUSSELL WATSON TOUR POSTPONED

He was due to touch down on Australian soil in just over a week's time for shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, but touring agent Dainty has late this afternoon dropped some bad news on fans of UK tenor Russell Watson.
His concerts, due to kick off at Perth's Burswood Theatre tomorrow week, have been postponed until February next year due to what Dainty is calling a "scheduling conflict".
Perth patrons' tickets will be valid for the new date, while those attending the shows in Sydney and Melbourne will have their tickets re-issued for the new dates and venues.

February 23 : Melbourne (Regent Theatre - rescheduled from November 14 @ Plenary Hall)
February 26 : Sydney (Opera House - rescheduled from November 12 @ State Theatre)
February 28 : Perth (Burswood Theatre - rescheduled from November 08)

WILLIAMS ON A WINNER

New Zealand R&B singer J Williams can do no wrong over in his homeland. Following on from his No.1 smash 'You Got Me' (featuring rapper Scribe), he's achieved further top five success with singles 'Takes Me Higher' and 'Night Of Your Life'.
But now he's looking to extend his reach beyond the land of the long white cloud and has set his sights firmly on Terra Australis.
And with a song like 'Live It Up', there's every chance he's going to succeed.
It's a bright, breezy dance/pop track smattered with a splash of soul - in a similar vein to Stan Walker's top ten smash 'Loud' - and it's anticipated that Aussie radio will lap it up after it was serviced to media here this morning.
Look for the official video, due to drop later this week. In the meantime, take a listen below - and get your mitts on it in the local iTunes store.

WIN MJ DVDS

Fans of the late, great Michael Jackson are counting down the days until the release of the brand new DVD 'Michael Jackson : The Life Of An Icon' this Thursday.
The film, produced by Liza Minnelli's ex David Gest, will have its global premiere in London this Wednesday, where Michael's mother Katherine and brother Tito will be among the celebrity audience.
The DVD is "a powerful behind the scenes account of the star's life" and will cover Michael's stratospheric rise from Jackson 5 to international megastar to his tragic death in 2009. There are also interviews with a number of Michael's family, close friends and fellow artists.
In a statement released to the press earlier this month, Katherine Jackson said, "'Michael Jackson: The Life Of An Icon’ is a truly remarkable film that captures the true character, wit and sensitivity of my son. David takes you on an emotional roller coaster that will bring people to tears as well as really understand who the man behind the music was and is."
Brilliantly, thanks to the DVD's spunky publicists, you have the chance to win one of two copies that we've graciously been given!

To enter, send us an email containing your name and postal address to our email address in the sidebar and pop the term "Mad For Michael" in the subject line. You will thusly be entered into our draw.

Competition closes at 10:00pm AEDT on Thursday November 03, 2011. One entry per household. Winners drawn entirely at random. Winners' first names, suburbs/towns and states will be published on the site on Friday November 04, 2011. Two mega Michael fans will each receive a copy of the new Michael Jackson DVD 'Michael Jackson : The Life Of An Icon' with thanks to the DVD's Aussie publicist. And as always, your details are kept safe and sound. We might even play them a selection of lullabies and tell them they're loved! Good luck!

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.

AMY'S NEW TRICKS

It's been ages since we heard hide nor hair from the boys of Amy Meredith. But all that's about to change with the upcoming release of a brand new single called 'Pick Up Your Tricks' - the first from their forthcoming sophomore album, rumoured for release in April next year.
The band's lead singer Christian Lo Russo is excited about unveiling the track to the band's growing legion of fans.
"We’ve spent the last six months working out where we want to go as a band," he said in a statement. "We think we're there and 'Pick Up Your Tricks' is a taster of where we are heading. We hope you like it."
To launch the new track, the band has put together a little video montage (below, along with the help of a few high profile industry types) of the type of tricks they can do - some impressive, some a little freaky.
'Pick Up Your Tricks' is slated for digital release on Friday November 11.

BEYONCE DVD CONFIRMED

Beyonce fans who visited the site across the weekend had their appetites whetted when we reported the upcoming release of Beyonce's new live DVD 'Live At Roselands : Elements Of 4'.
In it we hinted that fans in Australia would likely see the double DVD set released in Australia on Friday December 02.
This morning, Sony Music has confirmed that this is indeed the case.
The two disc set will include not only her amazing concert, delivering a select bunch of fans their only full live taste of her most recent album '4', but also a 20 page booklet and a video anthology, containing the seven clips to have been released from '4', including the most recent 'Party', which dropped last week.
'Live At Roseland' will indeed get an Aussie release on Friday December 02.

KYLIE JOINS THE HALL OF FAME

Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue will next month be officially inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame.
She'll share in the Australian Recorded Music Association's most prestigious of honours with kids entertainers The Wiggles - and both will join a legion of extraordinary Australian talent already in the hall, including the likes of Olivia Newton-John, Paul Kelly, John Farnham.
And with her 25th year in the music industry approaching, Kylie's inclusion in the Hall Of Fame is most timely.
In the meantime, organisers of this year's awards have confirmed that they will be televised on the GO! Channel on Sunday November 27.
In a statement, the Nine Network said, "Nine Entertainment Co. are excited to share this important Australian music event
with fans and viewers on our multichannel GO!"
Hosts, performers and presenters for the 25th Annual ARIA Awards will be announced in the coming weeks.
Catch them on GO! on Sunday November 27 from 7:30pm.

JUS A HOT SUMMER TRACK

You know when superstar Dutch DJ Tiesto includes you on his latest 'Club Life' release, there's something pretty special about your new single.
But that's just what's happened for New York DJ Jus Jack, Melbourne duo Black Dogs, local singer 7even and their new single 'One Day At A Time'.
Combining that tried and true hands-in-the-air electro with a great hook, sweet vocals and an awesome pop sensibility, 'One Day At A Time' had us at 'hello' when we were introduced late last week.
It's already inside the top 30 on the UK dance charts - and there's no reason why it couldn't be plastered all over summer radio playlists here at home.
Mercifully, the track (and a pumpkin full of remixes - getting into the spirit of Halloween) is available at the local iTunes store - and you can get a little taster of it below.

KASKADING TO RETAIL

Chicago-based DJ and producer Kaskade is dividing up the release of his new album; digital now, physical later.
'Fire & Ice' is the seventh studio album for Kaskade and it follows up last year's long player 'Dynasty'. It's already finding favour with the dance music fraternity across the globe, debuting at No.3 on the local iTunes dance album chart and No.1 on the US equivalent.
Recently voted America's No.1 DJ, Kaskade has been working on the new double disc project for the past 12 months. Disc one has its eyes firmly fixed on the dancefloor, while the second slows the tempo down.
You can bag the digital version now, but if you're busting your chops for the physical version, well you'll just have to hold out 'til Friday November 18.

KELLY'S DOWN FOR WHATEVER

Local fans of R&B diva Kelly Rowland will no doubt be heartened by this news.
Not only has her record company Universal Music moments ago serviced the singer's new single 'Down For Whatever' (pictured) to Australian radio, but they've also confirmed the forthcoming Australian release of the international version of her latest album 'Here I Am'.
The new version is said to contain a host of the more uptempo and pop tracks that many assumed would make up the tracklist of the original version of 'Here I Am' - tracks like 'Forever And A Day' and 'Rose Coloured Glasses'.
'Down For Whatever' (with remixes) is available digitally now. 'Here I Am (International Version)' is slated for release in Australia on Friday December 02.

TOURING : Il Divo

What a perfectly opportune time for Live Nation to announce a local tour by European quasi-classical quartet Il Divo - the boys are in Australia this week for promotional duties, to attend the Melbourne Cup carnival and to release their brand new album 'Wicked Game'.
Yes, Live Nation has today confirmed that the boys will head back to our shores in February next year for a series of live dates, which will kick off with a romantic interlude at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Valentines Day - February 14.
They'll also play shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, with a stop at Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley.
Tickets for all dates hit the sales desk on Thursday November 10.

February 14 : Sydney (Opera House Concert Hall)
February 17 : Melbourne (Sidney Myer Music Bowl)
February 18 : Hunter Valley (Hope Estate Winery)
February 20 : Brisbane (Convention Centre)
February 23 : Perth (Kings Park)

LOOKBACK

THE CORRS : So Young

It was only 16 years ago that Irish pop/folk siblings The Corrs first burst onto the mainstream charts here in Australia with their gorgeous debut single 'Runaway' and though it may have seemed that the band scored many a hit during their decade-long reign, 'Runaway' was one of only two top ten hits for the band down under.
But it's their poppy 1998 single 'So Young' that we're including in our Lookback segment today. Remixed by K-Klass for the single release, the track missed the top 50 entirely here in Australia, but found a home in the UK top ten.
The incredibly simple video (featuring some paper planes) was filmed in Chicago. Still love the song though.

ARCTICS ADD SYDNEY SECONDS

British indie outfit Arctic Monkeys announced that they'd be returning to Australia early next year way back at the start of August.
They'll be here in an official capacity for both the Falls and Southbound Festivals, but will also play dates in the five major capitals, including a sold out show at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion.
But fans in the New South Wales capital who missed out on bagging tickets to the concert can take heart, with Frontier Touring announcing this morning that they've added a second Sydney date to the schedule.
They'll now also play the Enmore Theatre on Friday January 13. Tickets are on sale on Monday November 07.

January 03 : Melbourne (Festival Hall) FINAL TICKETS
January 06 : Perth (Belvoir Ampitheatre)
January 10 : Adelaide (Entertainment Centre)
January 12 : Sydney (Hordern Pavilion) SOLD OUT
January 13 : Sydney (Enmore Theatre) NEW SHOW

CHART WATCH

LMFAO clocks up their third week atop the ARIA singles chart this week, while Adele has finally been knocked off her perch on the albums chart. Here's your weekly Top 100 Chart Watch.

SINGLES
As mentioned, LMFAO's new single 'Sexy And I Know It' notches up a third week on top of the ARIA singles chart this week, with Rihanna and Calvin Harris also remaining steady.
Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera seem to be back in favour, however, moving like Jagger back up to No.3 and notching up their fifth platinum accreditation for sales of more than 350,000 copies. Kudos too to Gym Class Heroes, who along with Maroon 5's Adam Levine, also score a platinum notch on their belt.
Jason Derulo (in position ten) goes from gold to double platinum in the space of a week (obviously adjusted).
David Guetta and Usher see a resurgence, Ed Sheeran's catapulted into the top 20 and Coldplay finally cracks the top 20 with 'Paradise' - up to a new peak of No.18.
Aloe Blacc's arrival in the country corresponds with a 24 place jump for his hit 'I Need A Dollar' (up to No.26), Taio Cruz & Flo Rida jump 20 spots to No.27 with 'Hangover' and Coldplay re-enters the top 100 at No.32 with 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall'.
Ricki-Lee's new single 'Raining Diamonds' reaches a new peak of No.55, but staggeringly, the week's highest new entry comes courtesy of Justin Bieber all the way down at No.58 with 'The Christmas Song', featuring a guest spot from Usher.
Cold Chisel's 'Flame Trees' is back in at No.66, Lloyd ftg. Andre 3000 & Lil Wayne are in at No.67 with 'Dedication To My Ex (Miss That)' and Coldplay's re-emergences keep coming with 'Viva La Vida' poking its head back in at No.72.
San Cisco's 'Awkward' debuts at No.74, Darren Hayes' 'Bloodstained Heart' debuts at No.80 and there are re-entries from Eminem ('Lose Yourself' at No.82), Avalanche City ('Love Love Love' at No.86), Lil Wayne ('Mirror' at No.94) and 360 ftg. Gossling ('Boys Like You' at No.98). The Wanted just scrape into the top 100 with a debut at No.99 for new single 'Lightning'.
Not such good news for the Aussies though, with latest tracks from Sneaky Sound System, Elen Levon, Vanessa Amorosi, Short Stack and Israel Cruz all dropping out of the top 100.

ALBUMS
Australia's got a new No.1 album! Coldplay has debuted atop the ARIA albums chart with their new long player 'Mylo Xyloto'. It's now their fourth consecutive No.1 album in Australia and debuts with a gold accreditation against it (for sales into stores of more than 35,000 copies).
And yes Adele is relegated to the No.2 position, but it's not all bad news - 'cause '21' this week notches up a very impressive eighth platinum accreditation (more than 560,000 copies sold down under - her record company Remote Control tells us it's up to 600,000 now).
No accreditations thus far for Kelly Clarkson's new album 'Stronger', however, despite an impressive No.3 debut and we're similarly pleased as punch for Darren Hayes, who scores himself a top ten album with 'Secret Codes & Battleships', which debuts in the No.10 spot.
We were first in the world with the Tom Waits album news (and were subsequently asked to take it down) but October 21 it was all along and this week his fans have snapped it up sufficiently that it debuts at No.11.
Justice's 'Audio, Video, Disco' also debuts in the top 20 - No.18 to be precise - 43 places higher than their previous album's peak.
Washington's 'Insomnia' EP debuts at No.24 (we had trouble finding copies last week), Maroon 5's 'Hands All Over' is heading back up and Husky's 'Forever So' is in at No.33.
The Aloe Blacc repackage works a treat - the album 'Good Things' re-entering at No.34, while the latest INXS best-of is in at No.39 and albums from Ed Sheeran, Crowded House and Katy Perry all sneak back into the top 50.
Outside the top 50, Georgia Fair's new album 'All Though Winter' is in at No.61, Tonight Alive might be scared of chart performances as their latest 'What Are You So Scared Of?' drops from No.15 to No.65 (ouch), so too Bjork and 'Biophilia' - No.31 last week, No.69 this, Meatloaf's 'Hell In A Handbasket' - No.32 last week, No.81 this week and Five Finger Death Punch's 'American Capitalist' - down from No.50 to No.100.
No other debuts in the top 100, but 'The Essential Bob Dylan' raises its top 100 head again at No.99.

For a full run down of the ARIA top 50s, head over to www.ariacharts.com.au each and every Sunday.

BIG ASS SATURDAY NEWS WRAP #73

• Gosh haven't we left you hanging with the news wraps of late!? So here we are later on your Saturday serving another 'big ass' version to tide you over 'til Tuesday.
• Universal Music is giving Pixie Lott's single 'All About Tonight' another stab, re-servicing the track to local media this week.
• Other tracks sent to media this week included Hot Chelle Rae's 'I Like It Like That', Yolanda Be Cool's new single 'Le Bump' (featuring Crystal Waters) and the Rogue Traders' new single 'America', lifted from their forthcoming double album/best of.
• Looks like Sony's seemingly endless delay in releasing One Direction's new single 'What Makes You Beautiful' to digital retail here in Australia hasn't hurt the track's chart chances much - the track has sailed into the iTunes top 20 just 24 hours after its release.
• While we won't find out until Monday what the most added track to Australian radio is this week, Jason Derulo is looking good, with his new single 'Breathing' being picked up by most of the Austereo stations, along with a swag of regional networks.
• Aussie fans of US country star Miranda Lambert won't have to wait too long to get their mitts on her brand new album 'Four The Record'. The album, the singer's fourth, features the single 'Baggage Claim', which is currently seeing action on the American country music charts. It will be released locally on Friday.
• Dance music publication DJ Mag has crowned French DJ David Guetta the world's No.1 DJ for 2011. He knocks off Armin Van Buuren, who drops to No.2, while Tiesto makes No.3, Deadmau5 gets No.4 and Above & Beyond take out the No.5 position. Australian DJ Tydi came in at No.48.
• Shock Records has announced the local release of Naughty By Nature's 20th anniversary album 'Anthem Inc'. The American hip-hoppers' sixth studio album will hit the shops in Australia on Friday November 25. The band plays in Brisbane tonight.
• US dance diva Kimberly Cole has digitally released the remixes of her latest single 'Arrow Through My Heart'. Part one of the track's remix package is now available via iTunes globally.
• Sydney producer Meem will release his highly anticipated, critically acclaimed new album next month. Entitled 'Monsters Don’t Sleep OK!', the LP has already piqued the interest of the community radio fraternity and is said to contain elements of "funk, soul, hip-hop, reggae, gypsy, beats and boogie". The album is out November 11.
• Following us on Facebook yet? The lovely gang at Groupon has given us a handful of vouchers to give away and we'll be unleashing them on our Facebook followers across the course of this week. You can simply head on over and click to 'Like' us at www.facebook.com/auspOp.
• His hit single 'I Need A Dollar' already under his belt, US soul singer Aloe Blacc tore up the stage at the New Motion Party at Sydney's Luna Park on Thursday night. He was joined on the entertainment roster by up and coming singer Marvin Priest, along with DJ Ruby Rose. For those not lucky enough to be a part of the exclusive VIP audience, you can catch the concert on GO! channel on Sunday November 13 and Channel 9 on Wednesday November 16.
• Shock Records has announced the signing of Melbourne five piece Buckley Ward. The independent label will release the band's new album 'So Pretend' early next year and to celebrate, they're allowing fans to download the title track free from their website. Click HERE for more.
• Swedish popstar Eric Saade (he represented his country at this year's Eurovision Song Contest, finishing third) is back with a brand new single. 'Hotter Than Fire' features the guest vocals from US singer Dev and is the first track lifted from his new album 'Saade Vol.2'. It's released in Sweden this Wednesday, but no word on an Aussie release.
• On the British singles chart this week, Rihanna and Calvin Harris maintain their No.1 heading with the track 'We Found Love'. The Wanted came close, but not quite close enough with their new single 'Lightning', debuting at No.2. Charlene Soraia edges up ever higher with her single 'Wherever Will You Go', Kelly Clarkson's 'Mr.Know It All' is in at No.6 and Lana Del Rey's 'Video Games' blip in at No.9.
• It's a No.1 debut for Noel Gallagher and his new album 'High Flying Birds', while former X Factor star Matt Cardle has to settle for No.2. Steps' best-of surprisingly only falls to No.3 while a best-of for crooner Daniel O'Donnell debuts at No.7.
• In the US, Adele's still at No.1 with 'Someone Like You', but for how much longer? Rihanna and Calvin Harris are making a big move this week, up four places to No.2 with 'We Found Love'. But it's Drake's new single 'Make Me Proud' that has everyone talking - bulleting from No.97 last week to No.9 this week. Justin Bieber's 'Mistletoe' debuts at No.11.
• On the US album chart, Adele's back to No.1 with '21'. Christian rock outfit Casting Crowns debut at No.2 with their new LP 'Come To The Well', while Joe's 'The Good, The Bad, The Sexy' delivers the US R&B star his fourth consecutive top ten album.
• And don't forget, for all the goings-on on the ARIA top 100, be here on auspOp Sunday mornings at 9am sharp! Tomorrow... Who'll be No.1? Where did the Darren Hayes, Coldplay and Kelly Clarkson albums debut? See you at 9am!

B&B DVDS

Unfortunately there's still been no confirmation from Sony Music about the local release of either of these DVD titles just yet (their current release schedule only runs up until November 18), but you can bet your bottom dollar they're incoming - and soon.
Pre-orders are already being taken for Britney Spears' latest live DVD - the 'Femme Fatale' tour (left) - on a number of Australian retail sites, while the new Beyonce DVD 'Live At Roseland : Elements Of 4' has been slated for a late November release in the United States.
Credit where it's due, the gang at Sony Australia are always onto it when it comes to global releases, so we assume we're expecting Britney locally on Friday November 25, followed by Beyonce the week later.

MORE TT RELEASES

We told you about the upcoming CD version of Take That's forthcoming 'Progress Live' release long before the band confirmed its existence themselves (September 13 for us, October 20 for them). The album will be released in Australia on the same date as the forthcoming live DVD (November 25).
But what the band told us about late last night was that there's something more for the big fans (yes, yes, we've already ordered one).
It's a very special, limited edition boxset (pictured) that features all components of the 'Progress Live' release, along with a deluxe 40 page tour photo book.
It follows on from the original 'Progress' deluxe boxset, released at the same time as the original album.
And while Universal Music in the UK has stupidly stopped people from the rest of the world from ordering most things on their online store (hello Saturdays, Nicola Roberts etc etc), thankfully they've come to their senses on this release.

CHRISTINA PERRI : A Thousand Years

To be perfectly honest, we've never seen any of the Twilight films, so it would be wrong of us to try and pretend, but any fans of the franchise will be sorely disappointed to learn that there's not one single shot of Jacob shirtless in this entire clip. Outrageous. Surely it should be a contractual obligation?
Anyways, Christina's song from the forthcoming soundtrack is rather sublime - and is already climbing the local iTunes store.
Dressed in a rather grand old gown (that looks decidedly heavy), the singer parks herself in the middle of a room full of tealight candles. Though breathtaking, we can't help but nervously watch on.
Thankfully they're extinguished, off go the fire alarms (no doubt) and she's evacuated to the cliff tops outside. Close call.

BEYONCE : Party

Geez - that Beyonce sure is popping out the videos thick and fast these days.
After dedicating the premiere of the ever so soulful 'Love On Top' to us Aussies earlier this month, as well as premiering the video for 'Countdown', B has decided that two new videos in the month is just not enough and has just premiered the clip to her new single 'Party' (featuring J Cole).
Here she's connecting with her inner trailer park goddess with nary a baby bump in sight, getting down with the bubbles and the highlights. And so taken were we with a certain fluffy yellow number towards the end that we almost didn't notice who was dancing right beside her.

ADELE ON DVD

There's been seemingly no stopping UK songstress Adele on the Australian albums chart across the course of this year - her album '21' has now sold over 600,000 copies in this country alone and remains ensconced in the No.1 position again this week (with Coldplay threatening this weekend).
Her Aussie label Remote Control has announced today that the singer will release her new live CD/DVD set 'Live At The Royal Albert Hall' down under next month.
The DVD features a full 90 minute live concert and includes some of the world's current favourite songs including 'Set Fire To The Rain', 'Rolling In The Deep' and the untouchable 'Someone Like You'.
'Live At The Royal Albert Hall' will be released in Australia on Friday November 25.

CHILLOUT RETURNS

Well if this doesn't look like the most idyllic place in the world...
Of course, with global warming and rising sea levels, the young lady on the cover of the new 'Chillout Sessions' had better pack herself a little snorkel, just in case.
But we digress. Ministry Of Sound will next month release the 14th in the series of 'Chillout Sessions' compilations and just one small glance through the tracklisting of this edition and you'll know that they've once again got things spectacularly right.
The set opens with the Bibio remix of the year's biggest homegrown track - Gotye & Kimbra's 'Somebody That I Used To Know'. It's followed up by the likes of Feist, Seeker Lover Keeper, Aloe Blacc and more Kimbra.
There's some more electro goodness from the likes of Example, Cut Copy, Lykke Li and even Azari & III in amongst the 41 tracks.
'Chillout Sessions : Volume XIV' will hit the store on Friday November 25.

GLEE! MORE CHRISTMAS!

Sure those crazy kids from William McKinley High School might not be rating as well this season (nor are they infiltrating our singles charts quite as much as their carbon covers), but that hasn't stopped them from announcing a brand new album of festive favourites, to be released in Australia next month.
The 12 track LP will feature classics like 'All I Want For Christmas Is You', 'Santa Baby', 'Let It Snow', 'Do You Hear What I Hear', 'Little Drummer Boy' and 'Do They Know It's Christmas', but there are also two original festive tracks featured on the disc.
They are 'Extraordinary Merry Christmas' (featuring the vocals of Darren Criss and Lea Michele) and 'Christmas Eve With You' (performed by Jayma Mays and Mathew Morrison).
'Glee : The Christmas Album Volume 2' will be released on Friday November 11.

NEW MOTION PARTY WINNER

This little competition was for the eagle-eyed reader - those who visit us every single day - 'cause it was up on the site for just 30 short hours.
But there was no shortage of people who were more than willing to get a few mates together for a good time in Sydney tomorrow night for the exclusive VIP, invite-only New Motion Party, powered by Hyundai Accent.
Chart star Aloe Blacc ('I Need A Dollar') and Aussie-based dancefloor newcomer Marvin Priest ('Own This Club') will be there, alongside DJ Ruby Rose who'll be performing a DJ set for the assembled crowd.
So who's off to see Aloe, Marvin, Ruby and a host of VIPs living it up near Sydney's iconic harbour?

Congratulations to Ash from East Redfern, who is apparently "Aloe Blacc's BIGGEST fan"!
Ash, you and three mates will be heading along to the exclusive VIP event tomorrow night in the heart of Sydney!
Check your email - where your details have arrived/will be arriving shortly!

Thanks as always to everyone who entered - and BIG thanks to the awesome publicists for thinking of us with this most ace of competitions.

INCOMING : Tegan & Sara

Warner Music has announced the forthcoming release of the new Tegan & Sara album 'Get Along'.
The new release (pictured), due in the middle of next month, is set to feature three films and a live album in a special CD/DVD package.
There are two documentaries (one featuring US tour footage, the other documenting the girls' first ever visit to India), plus an intimate 70 minute live concert, filmed live in front of family and friends in Vancouver.
The CD features 15 of the live tracks from the live concert component of the DVD.
'Get Along' will be released in Australia on Friday November 18.

IL DIVO DOWN UNDER

Global superstars Il Divo have announced that they're set to return to Australia next week for promotional duties surrounding the release of their new album 'Wicked Game'.
They'll be on the ground for the Melbourne Cup Carnival, but will also take time to perform for a range of "key media", along with interviews for the local market in both Melbourne and Sydney.
"We can't wait to get back to Oz, a special place in all of our hearts... and it feels like coming home for me! I am so excited its going to be the first place in the world to release our new album. Hopefully all our Aussie fans will love it, and its been worth the wait to get us back there," said band member Sebastien Izambard (who married a former Sony Australia publicist) in a statement.
Il Divo's new album 'Wicked Game' will be in the shops on Friday November 04.

COLDPLAY'S LIVE STREAM

Remember the saying 'the early bird catches the worm'? Tomorrow morning it's especially true for Australian fans of British outfit Coldplay, as the band takes to the web to broadcast a live concert HERE.
Kicking off at 7am AEDT (NSW, Vic, Tas), the show is to be beamed live from the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid and will be broadcast across the globe on Youtube. It's all part of American Express' 'Unstaged' series.
Coldplay will be performing tracks from their brand new album 'Mylo Xyloto', which was released in Australia last Friday.

WILL YOUNG : Come On

The delightful Will Young had been dropping hints right, left and centre about what the video for his new single 'Come On' would entail, but it was soon sorted that it would be all about an homage to the globally recognised and most prestigious Crufts Dog Show.
Then earlier this month, he treated us to a gorgeous little acoustic version of the single in video form.
Now, however, the real thing is here in all its tail-wagging, barking, dribbling, drinking from the toilet bowl glory.
Will's got himself a dog, obviously - and unfortunately he's not particularly well behaved. So how is he meant to win the competition with a mischievous puppy?
There's a super-cute slice of footage with 'young Will' and 'young puppy' that might just turn the tide.

JESS & STAN BREAK COVER

Jessica Mauboy and Stan Walker are teaming up in one of the year's most anticipated releases, the track 'Galaxy' lifted from the repackage of Jessica Mauboy's album 'Get Em Girls'.
Due for release to digital media on Friday, the track will be serviced to radio officially next Monday before the duo performs the track live on the X Factor results show a week from today.

SECOND PYRAMID LINE-UP

If it wasn't going to be a massive few days down on Victoria's Phillip Island already, what with the already announced acts as part of the annual Pyramid Rock Festival, today's second artist line-up announcement is going to ensure that the countdown to 2012 is going to be a big one.
Organisers announced the first line-up back in August. It was incredibly star-studded, with confirmed appearances from the likes of Scissor Sisters, The Living End, Gotye, Boy & Bear, Spiderbait, Cloud Control, Drapht, Muscles, The Panics and Jonathan Boulet among others.
But today there's a second announcement, adding even more big name acts to a festival that's bound to be one of the national highlights on the new years eve calendar.
Added today are French electro producer Yuksek, The Getaway Plan, Sparkadia, Yacht Club DJs, The Vasco Era, Abbe May, Georgia Fair, Purple Sneaker DJs and many more.
Best you head over to the OFFICIAL WEBSITE to check out the full line-up.

December 29 - 31 (Phillip Island)

LIL WAYNE DOES SIDESHOWS

Lil Wayne will be heading to our shores next month to take part in the mammoth sell-out Eminem concerts in both Sydney and Melbourne.
But his touring agent Dainty has today announced that he'll take time out to perform three headline shows while he's in the country.
Punters will be able to catch the rapper live performing his full 'I Am Still Music' concert show on arena stages in Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
Tickets for all three dates are on sale on Wednesday November 02.

November 25 : Perth (Burswood Dome)
November 27 : Adelaide (Entertainment Centre)
November 29 : Melbourne (Rod Laver Arena)

NERVO : We're All No One

How damned excited are we for Melbourne twins Liv and Mim - better known to the music fraternity as NERVO. After many years of hard work behind the scenes, songwriting for countless big name artists, then allowing others to sing their tunes, finally the girls are up front, on vocals and on screen where they were always destined to be.
Yes, here NERVO steps out from behind the DJ booth and provide vocals for their own track, a track which screams 'now', combining dancefloor sensibilities with a little bit of attitude and a whole lotta spunk.
And heck, when you're as gorgeous as Mim & Liv, why the heck wouldn't you pop yourself on-screen?

ROBBIE GOES UNIVERSAL

After recently confirmation that Rob and his band Take That have again gone their separate ways - albeit amicably this time - comes news that the star has inked a brand new deal with Universal Music, bringing to an end his long-time association with EMI.
Robbie has announced the forthcoming release of a brand new album, which is already being touted as "the most hotly-anticipated release of 2012".
It's currently in the throws of creation at Robbie's studio in Los Angeles and the singer is understandably thrilled to have signed the new deal that will see it released.
"I'm really thrilled to be joining the Universal family at what I think is the most exciting time in my career," he said.
The album is set to be released early next year.

CHARTING THE CHARTS

Love your charts and all the delicious, glorious information that comes out week after week? Ever wanted to have all the Aussie charted songs from your favourite artist in the one place?
Finding it hard to find time to do all the research? Relax! Melbourne-based chart god Gavin Ryan has done it all for you, with the release of the brand new book entitled 'Australia's Music Charts : 1988-2010'.
It's a comprehensive guide to the Australian music charts from the past 22 years, bringing together all the chart information from your favourite artists including catalogue numbers, accreditations, debuts and re-entries, exit dates and peak positions for not just singles, but albums and music DVDs too.
The information contained within the book is extraordinarily detailed and while we haven't seen a copy of this edition just yet, we've seen some of Gavin's previous work and it's exemplary and desperately thorough.
Best of all, this time around, he's offering the book in three different formats; in paper form, on CD Rom or on a USB.
So if you're a chart nazi and you'd like to get your hands on a copy, send an email to bulion@iinet.net.au.

The ace-in-space gang at EMI really went all out with us last week in the lead-up to the release of the new Coldplay album 'Mylo Xyloto' on Friday.
As you're no doubt aware by now, the new Coldplay album, the band's fifth, contains the singles 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' and 'Paradise', along with a track recorded with Rihanna entitled 'Princess Of China'.
We were lucky enough to be given ten copies of the LP to give away to you and you flooded our inbox with plenty of entries, all begging for a copy of 'Mylo Xyloto' for "my axolotl". Bless.
So anyways, these here are the lucky peeps who ought to be keeping an eye on their post boxes real soon;

JANET JACKSON LEAVES AUSTRALIA

Global superstar Janet Jackson is returning to the United States immediately to be with family, as the trial into the death of her brother Michael continues.
In a prepared statement, released this afternoon, the singer said, "I want to thank my fans in Australia for their love, support and understanding. When I planned these shows, the schedule in California was completely different. After talking with my family last night, I decided we must be together right now. I'm looking forward to being with you for the Gold Coast, Sydney, and the Melbourne concerts. You are all so important to me. This saddens me in so many ways. I love you."
The three Melbourne concerts, due to take place at the city's State Theatre across this week, will now be merged into one show - at Rod Laver Arena on Thursday November 03. All Melbourne ticketholders will be contacted shortly with their re-allocated seating for the new venue.

NEW GOTYE

Gotye's brand new single 'I Feel Better' has a heck of a lot to live up to. The Melbourne singer-songwriter's previous single 'Somebody That I Used To Know' (featuring the guest vocals of Kimbra) has been so huge that 'I Feel Better' is all but certain to pale in comparison.
'Somebody That I Used To Know' is now a staggering five times platinum - for sales of more than 350,000 copies - the highest selling Australian single that we've seen in recent memory (even Guy Sebastian's all-conquering 2003 debut 'Angels Brought Me Here' managed only four times platinum status).
Gotye will return home from Europe later this year to play live festival dates at Homebake, the Pyramid Rock Festival and Peat's Ridge.

ROGUE TRADERS BREAK COVER

Let's hope James and Mindi forgive us for stealing their thunder this morning...
More details have come to light about the forthcoming new Rogue Traders release 'The Sound Of Drums' (cover art pictured).
'The Sound Of Drums' is a two disc set featuring not only the brand new single 'America', which was serviced to radio this morning, but the entire unreleased 'Night Of The Living Drums' album, along with a best-of of the band's previous hits from 2003-2008 including 'Voodoo Child', 'Watching You', 'In Love Again' and 'I Never Liked You'.
'The Sound Of Drums is due for release on Friday November 04,
