JIMA WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Most of the press yesterday might have revolved around the nominations for the 2011 ARIA Awards, which were released yesterday morning, but today, it's all about the winners in those other Australian music awards - the 2011 Jagermeister Independent Music Awards.
Handed out in Melbourne, the annual event was held at a brand new venue called Revolt in the suburb of Kensington.
Sydney four piece The Jezabels were the big winners on the night taking home two gongs, including those for Best Independent Artist and Best Independent Single/EP for 'Dark Storm'. The two JIMA wins may hint at possible ARIAs success later in the year.
