US singer and former American Idol starlet Carrie Underwood will arrive in Australia for her promotional tour this Friday.And it would appear that her record company Sony is pulling out all the stops to make sure everyone knows she's in town, with TV performances confirmed for both Sunrise and Dancing With The Stars, as well as appearances on Today Tonight and The Circle.
Carrie will also take time out of the busy promotional schedule to perform at an exclusive industry and media showcase in Sydney.
To coincide with the singer's visit, a deluxe Australian edition of her album 'Play On' (with a bonus disc containing seven additional tracks including six US No.1 singles) is being released to retail this Friday AND Sony has this week serviced 'Undo It' (pictured) to local radio as the latest local single to be lifted from the LP.
Five Grammys, countless other awards and more than 13 million albums sold across the globe - Australia is about to get a mighty good taste of the Carrie Underwood pie.

Can't imagine Radio supporting her, though they should. I think Undo It is the best cut from her Play On album too.

I think Sony should include some of her past hits on the re-release of her album. Sorta like what happened with Rokstarr from Taio Cruz.

how annoying for her to finally come to the country and for us fans who have loved her since Idol in what, 2005?, not get a chance to see her live. unless we r in sydney and part of Sony/the media. oh well, was hoping for a couple of concerts :(
Be glad that Carrie is coming to Australia..She wants to tour there in the near future..Carrie is the best!
This is just a promotional tour for Carrie, to introduce her to Australia. If it goes well it will hopefully lead to a full tour of Australia for all her fans :)
It's great to hear Carrie is in australia. She will be meeting and signing autographs in Brisbane. How can you see Carrie in Sydney? I heard there were limited tickets available to Carrie's showcase. There was even a NZ site who ran a competition for 2 tickets to the show.

Yes, we're aware she'll be appearing in the Queen Street Mall. We've asked for confirmation from Sony about it and they've said that nothing was confirmed.
Obviously this is not the case.
