It's now officially the beginning of the end for beloved Australian outfit Powderfinger with their 'Sunsets' farewell tour kicking off last night in Newcastle. The tour hits the Gold Coast for a sold out show tomorrow night before beginning the first of five nights at Brisbane's Riverstage.But it's the band's very last performance (also at the Riverstage) which has taken centre stage, with confirmation from Universal Music that the gig will be recorded live to be released exclusively through iTunes.
We've been told that the recording of the show will be made available on the iTunes store approximately 12 hours after the curtain falls on the band's long and illustrious career.
