ARIA NOMINEES

Nominations for the 2010 ARIA Awards were announced late this afternoon. And fans of Guy Sebastian, Sia, Angus & Julia Stone, Birds Of Tokyo and Washington will be grinning like the cats who got the cream with all five leading this year's nominations field with six nominations apiece.
Beyond that, the fans will get the chance to vote once again in the 'Most Popular' categories presented by V Energy Drink. These include Most Popular Australian Artist, Most Popular International Artist, Most Popular Single and Most Popular Album, with public voting going live from October 14 HERE.
So here are some of the major categories for this year's awards and the artists nominated;

I'm glad Kylie is there. Shame she didn't get up for more than 2 nominations. ARIA pretty good at ignoring mainstream artists. Looks like Sia will take Best Female.

Strange that Gabriella Cilmi is there for a Most Popular award after pretty poor performance of her album.
And there seem to be a lot of albums in those popular categories that are from previous years. Strange...
