Sia couldn't do it - neither could The Cat Empire or Parkway Drive. Not even Kylie could manage it and last week Birds Of Tokyo had a crack. They've all tried to knock Eminem off the No.1 album perch in the past few weeks and have failed in their quest to do so. But hail the boys from Aussie outfit Bliss N Eso, who've finally conquered the US rap king with a bit of home grown magic. But by how many copies? Let's find out in this week's Chart Watch.SINGLES : Let's not kid around here - Eminem and Rihanna are so far ahead of the rest of the pack on the ARIA singles chart, you could park a bus in the gap between them. They're almost double the sales of Taio Cruz back in the No.2 position, with the highest weekly singles sales since we started reporting in March '09. Eminem and Rihanna clocked up an astonishing 28,682 sales of 'Love The Way You Lie' - less than 7000 copies away from a gold accreditation - in just one week.
Taio Cruz back in No.2 is also doing rather well for himself - some 14,863 copies of 'Dynamite' being nabbed within the last week, while Enrique and Pitbull slide to No.3 just 772 copies in arrears.
Katy Perry has the highest debut of the week with her new single 'Teenage Dream'. On the back of strong radio additions last week (and subsequent performance on the digital charts), the single comes in at No.4 on the singles chart with 13,636 first week sales.
Her previous hit 'California Gurls' slips in the top ten, as does Adam Lambert's 'If I Had You' and Travie McCoy's 'Billionaire'.
Train's single 'If It's Love' moved up nine spots to No.21, Michael Paynter's single 'Love The Fall' is up seven spots to No.22, but Kylie's 'All The Lovers' slides ten spots to No.23.
Florence & The Machine's trip down under has paid dividends, with their 'You've Got The Love' surging back into the top 50 at No.31 (2999 sales), while 30 Seconds To Mars also make a top 50 splash - at No.36 with 'Closer To The Edge' (2611 sales).
Despite some of the Gaga forums initially refusing to acknowledge 'Dance In The Dark' as an official Australian single (also refusing to acknowledge auspOp as a credible source), the official single moves into the top 50 this week - up 50 spots to No.43 (1994 sales).
Bliss N Eso's also into the top 50 - with their single 'Down By The River' (1968 sales).
Outside the top 50, Ne-Yo moves up slightly yet again with 'Beautiful Monster' (No.53 with 1832 sales), Stan Walker debuts at No.54 with his new single 'Choose You' (1780 sales) and Rihanna and Slash pop in with 'Rockstar 101' at No.73 for its first week of chart action (1274 sales).
The Potbelleez are up nine spots with new single 'Hello' (No.82 with 1052 sales), Bliss N Eso are 'Addicted' at No.93 with first week sales of 947 copies and Florence & The Machine come in at No.100 with 'Dog Days Are Over' (804 sales).
ALBUMS : Many artists have tried to knock Eminem off the No.1 albums spot over the past few weeks, but none has succeeded. Until now. Aussie hip hoppers Bliss N Eso have scored a massive No.1 debut for their new album 'Running On Air' - bagging an impressive 13,051 first week sales in the process.
They were more than 1000 copies ahead of Eminem in position No.2 and more than 5000 copies ahead of Washington's new album 'I Believe You Liar' (7923 sales), debuting in position No.3.
Further top ten debuts came courtesy of Arcade Fire in No.6 (4785 sales) and Avenged Sevenfold in No.9 (3321 sales).
Four top ten debuts pushed Angus & Julia Stone down the way, also disposing of Train, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga from the top ten at the same time.
The Temper Trap's album 'Conditions' surged from No.37 to No.15 (1755 sales), Adam Lambert's album 'For Your Entertainment' is at its highest point yet - No.17 - while Miley Cyrus's album 'Can't Be Tamed' drops 14 places to No.29.
New in at No.30 is country songstress Melinda Schneider's new album 'Melinda Does Doris' (1229 sales), with Welsh crooner Tom Jones not too far behind at No.32 on 1178 sales for his new album 'Praise And Blame'.
Back into the top 50 mix are Tame Impala and Gorillaz (Nos.41 and 47 respectively).
Outside the top 50, the 'Step Up 3D' soundtrack surges again in the lead-up to the film's Aussie release (No.53 this week), Cloud Control's 'Bliss Release' is also up - No.96 to No.67, while Hillsong plummets 55 spots to No.68 with 'A Beautiful Exchange' (they sold just 19 physical copies of this in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia combined).
The McClymonts are back in at No.69 with 'Wrapped Up Good' (523 sales), Passion Pit re-emerges in the top 100 after their Aussie visit (No.84) and The Drums are back in at No.91 with their self-titled set.

As for popping Katy Perry & Taio Cruz in the regulars section, we’d ideally love to get the ‘regulars’ list down to 10 artists.
With Beyonce looking like she’ll be gone next week, that will take us down to ten (with Christina Aguilera – who we missed this week).
Who to remove…?
The auspOp team
Hi AuspOp!
Forget my idea about adding Katy & Taio cruz, have just realized that it was stupid lol. Don't remove anyone from your regulars.
Thanks for this week's sales.
