WELLS TEAMS WITH TEX

Bizarre. Interesting. Eclectic. They're three words the gang from Illusive have used to describe the teaming of local songstress Paris Wells with Australian music industry legend Tex Perkins for 'Goldie' - an exclusive taster track from Paris's forthcoming album.
The track is a 136BPM electro stomper which, blending retro organ, crunching dance beats and Paris's soulful vocals, is indeed bizarre, interesting and eclectic. But it works gloriously. Even Tex Perkins' gravelly vocals (that one assumes might stand out like dogs' balls) somehow glide effortlessly through the mix.
It's all incredibly addictive, and while it's not the first single proper, 'Goldie' has us most excited ahead of the impending release of Paris's new album 'Various Small Fires', which is now due to drop in the middle of October.
Take an exclusive listen to 'Goldie' below.

Love it....gravelly, wild west, mean and moogy.

Well, thanks Ifan!

AuspOp.... Let me ask you a question.

Is it true that you've got a Soundcloud account? And are you going to update your account in the future?

Hey Anonymous,

We'll more than likely update the Soundcloud account in the future, yes. When something new and exciting comes our way...

Any remixes?

Hey Haiku,

Possibly, but this track is just a 'seeder' (used to give people a pre-release taster of the album) that's been given to us by Paris's record company.
