California Katy holds on to top spot on the ARIA singles chart for a fourth successive week, while Kylie can't quite match Eminem's clout over on the ARIA albums chart. Who sold what? Here's this week's Chart Watch.
SINGLES : Enrique Iglesias's new single 'I Like It' looks like it's in a big hurry to reach the No.1 position, but with Katy Perry still around 5000 copies ahead of him in the battle for the top spot, it seems he may be waiting for another week or two. Katy bagged 17,777 sales of 'California Gurls' this week, with Enrique back in No.2 on 12,945 sales.
B.o.B's single 'Airplanes' is still selling rather well - with another 12,527 copies in the bag this week, with Uncle Kracker in No.4 and Eminem & Rihanna's duet 'Love The Way You Lie' hitting No.5 with 10,910 sales.
Heading for another top ten berth is Adam Lambert with his single 'If I Had You'. It's raced up to No.12 this week with another 6063 copies sold, while Miley Cyrus is slowly but surely on the rise with 'Can't Be Tamed' - a new peak of No.14 this week.
Kylie's back in the top 20 with 'All The Lovers' - it's risen from No.30 to No.18 with 4639 sales and maintains its position atop the physical singles chart for the second successive week.
J Bieb & Usher are into the top 20 at No.20 with 'Somebody To Love' (4359 sales) rising 27 places, while Flo Rida manages the highest debut of the week with his new track 'Club Can't Handle Me'. It's in at No.28 with 3407 sales.
Thirsty Merc has a top 30 hit with 'Mousetrap Heart', Angus & Julia Stone's 'Big Jet Plane' is also taking off, while Scarlett Belle hits the top 50 again with 'Closure' back to No.38.
On the back of the Glee finale, the cast's version of 'Don't Stop Believin' is back in the top 100 at No.39 (2328 sales), while Muse and Alexandra Burke hit the top 50 with 'Neutron Star Collision' and 'All Night Long' at Nos.45 and 48 respectively.
Outside the top 50, Charice is knocking on the door - moving up from No.77 to No.52 with 1756 sales, Little Red's new single 'Rock It' is edging closer to the top 50 - up from No.82 to No.61 and Enrique Iglesias's classic 'Hero' re-enters at No.68 with 1205 sales.
Muse's single 'Uprising' does as its name suggests - up to No.73, Pendulum's 'Watercolour' is up 18 spots to No.78, The Pretty Reckless is in at No.79 with 'Make Me Wanna Die' (1007 sales) and there are debuts from Michael Paynter ('Love The Fall' at No.87 - 918 sales), Maroon 5 ('Misery' at No.89 - 910 sales) and John Mayer ('Half Of My Heart' - No.95 with 827 sales).
ALBUMS : On the albums chart this week, it was being billed as a battle between 'God and Goddess', with Kylie battling Hillsong for the coveted No.1 position. Neither achieved it, but it was Kylie who would come closest to knocking Eminem off. While Kylie fans will be slightly upset by the songstress's new album 'Aphrodite' missing No.1, just 680 copies more and she'd have been there.
Eminem sold 12,671 copies this week - Kylie was on 11,991 copies.
Hillsong was more than 4000 copies off the mark - all the way back in third on 7330 copies, while the Twilight Eclipse soundtrack was up to No.4 with 5309 sales.
Amy Meredith will be celebrating their top 10 debut. No.8 is a pretty decent effort - with 2850 sales, while Justin Bieber is back into the top 10 with 'My Worlds' at No.10.
Michael Jackson's 'Essential' collection slumps after the 12 month anniversary of his death, down 25 spots to No.34, while Slash's album shuffles up to No.38, Bon Jovi's 'Cross Road' is back into the top 50 at No.41 and Hellyeah's 'Stampede' rockets its way into the top 100 at No.42 (862 sales).
Top 50 re-emergences from Guns & Roses, The National, Adam Lambert, John Mayer, Alvin & The Chipmunks and The Temper Trap.
Outside the 50, Bon Jovi's 'The Circle' is back into the top 100 at No.51 (782 sales), the original Twilight soundtrack is back in the mix at No.64, The Gaslight Anthem's 'American Slang' is in at No.67 (637 sales) and The Roots' album 'How I Got Over' debuts at No.71 (600 sales).
A selection of albums pop their head back into the top 100, including titles from Dead Letter Circus, Bullet For My Valentine, Vanessa Amorosi, Metallica, Lisa Mitchell, Brian McFadden, Xavier Rudd and The Drums.
