PHYSICAL BURKE

Sure there's not that many places that you can buy them in Australia anymore, but that's not stopping Sony Music from announcing a local physical single of 'All Night Long' - the new single from UK X Factor star Alexandra Burke. The track is the second local single for Alexandra, after Sony bypassed her second British single 'Broken Heels'. Whether it stays on the schedule is another matter - last week, Townsville's Mix 106.3 was the only radio station in the country to add the song.
'All Night Long' is due physically and digitally on June 04.

I actually have heard it on Sydney's The EDGE 96.1 a few times now.. It's still sad that the other major stations don't even bother play listing it. Right now, the Australian music market is so conservative. The same songs are popular for months and months because radio doesn't bother expanding their playlists to explore more areas of pop. Right now, they will just stick with the Black Eyed Peas, Owl City, Gaga and all the other regulars you hear all the time and not really play anything from any artist not known here yet. That is why I tend to listen to The EDGE 96.1, because they are one of the only stations willing to take it further and play pop songs that are big in the US and UK, but unheard of in Australia. They are making an effort, and I wish the other stations would follow.

I'm also loving this song, and loving Alexandra Burke. Its a shame we didn't get 'Broken Heels' because that was also an awesome track :D
