Noisettes had a big top ten hit in the UK last year with their pop stormer 'Don't Upset The Rhythm'. It was the second single from their latest album 'Wild Young Hearts' and remains their biggest hit to date. But rather than sit idle and let the pop world pass them slowly by, the band has got together to record a cover version for the 50th anniversary celebrations of iconic British footwear company Doc Martens. And the cover in question is of a Buzzcock's track from 1978. But while the original was quite coarse and punk of origin, the new version is a rather 'now' electro-pop number. Cue LED lighting, fireworks and disco beats and you can tell which one we're liking better.Friday, May 14, 2010
