It's now less than a month before the Norwegian capital Oslo comes alive to the sound of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. Two semi finals (on May 25 and May 27) will see a host of countries battling it out to make it all the way to the big event - the grand final - on May 29.As the countdown continues, we look at the entries that are vying for the ultimate prize in European popular music.
Cyprus will take part in the second semi final on May 27.
CYPRUS : Jon Lilygreen & The Islanders - Life Looks Better In Spring
Here's a turn up for the books - the Cypriot entry for Eurovision 2010 was born in Wales and lives in the UK. He's permitted to enter the competition on behalf of Cyprus only because the song 'Life Looks Better In Spring' was co-written by two Cyprus natives. Only one quarter of Jon's band The Islanders comes from the island. The song's not too bad, Jon sounds like he could be a fifth member of Westlife. It's got some nice touches, but it's up against much stronger competition.
