MINI VIVA : One Touch

'I Left My Heart In Toyko' was a fantastic introduction to UK duo Mini Viva. Their follow-up single 'I Wish' sounded like it could have been ripped straight from the Girls Aloud catalogue (it was produced by Xenomania). And now we're onto single No.3. The production on this track sounds like it's coming at us from 1988 - plenty of retro disco beats and old-school synths, but the clip itself is oh-so-now, all filmed in what looks like a hotel room.
There's something intrinsically daggy about Mini Viva, but we can't quite put our finger on what it is. Perhaps it's that they remind us of a noughties version of The Reynolds Girls. Whatever it is, we're hooked - and we can't wait for their debut LP to drop later this year.
