Somewhere between the gloriously heady days of '80s disco and the oh-so-now swags of glittery electro-pop dominating our charts lies Manchester outfit Hurts and their debut single 'Better Than Love'. As we mentioned last week, lead singer Theo's vocals hark back to the new romantic era of the 1980s (think Human League or Spandau Ballet), while Adam's production is a blend of early Pet Shops Boys electronica meets OMD.
The video is set in a ballet studio, where a pride of handsomely-groomed ladies all focus on the dancers before them. And Theo's intent stare hovers somewhere between deep interest and out-and-out creepy.
