Hi AuspOp, Would you explain what most added means, please? I am confuzzled. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with actual airplay...so what does it mean? Pink & MK (for example)are on this week and last..but most are on once and that's it. It appears to me to be a fairly empty statistic..am I wrong?
Hey Anon #4.1,
Apologies - we completely forgot to answer you earlier this week...
'Most Added' is a top ten list of the most added songs to Australian radio each week. Essentially, the No.1 most added song is picked up across the most number of radio stations that deliver the most number of listeners.
So for example, if the 2Day and Nova Networks add a song nationally, it's pretty much guaranteed the song will be No.1 most added.
If say B105 and 2Day FM add a track, with MixFM in Melbourne and Canberra also coming on board, it'll come in lower down the list.
If a small number of regional stations pick the new song up, it won't make the top ten.
So essentially, it's all about the newly added song that's going to reach the widest number of listeners throughout that week.
Hope that helps.

Hi auspop! Was just wondering how Ricki Lee's song Hear No is going on radio airplay. I'm surprised it's not taking off, it's so catchy and sounds pretty radio friendly.
Hey See No Speak No,
Unfortunately, Ricki-Lee's new single is nowhere to be seen in the top 100 most played songs in the country at the moment.
For some reason, radio just doesn't seem to be picking the track up - hence it's delay at retail and the album's postponement 'til 2010.
