LADYHAWKE : Magic

Salvation! One of our favourite songs from the Pip Brown's spectacular debut album has finally been given a single release - and they've even popped together a rather fetching video clip to accompany it. So Ladyhawke is gazing into her crystal ball, forseeing more spectacular success ahead, no doubt, when all of a sudden, she's taken by the sight of a man being held hostage by pirates. (We assume they're pirates, 'cause there are eyepatches involved, but nary a parrot to be seen). She meanders through the bat-infested forest before stumbling upon a white horse. Naturally it's completely tame and takes her to the waters edge. She then hops on a suspiciously stiff looking magic carpet and flies over the seas (the Atlantic, presumably). But does she get there in time to rescue him? Watch and see. Following on from every clip from this album, 'Magic' is another altogether spectacular extravaganza.
