KATIE NOONAN BREAKS COVER

Let's get one thing straight before we even talk about this release... Aussie chanteuse Katie Noonan could burp into a microphone and make it sound like an angel's whisper, such is the beauty of her voice. To that end, nothing she could ever sing will be wrong in our books. Her new album 'Blackbird' is a departure from the cool-pOp of her previous album 'Skin' and sees her return to her jazz roots to cover the songs of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Released on November 1st, the 15 track album covers the classic 'Yesterday' to 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Across The Universe' and Katie is giving fans a taste, placing three tracks for your listening pleasure on her OFFICIAL MYSPACE. It might not be pOp per se, but as with anything Katie lends her voice to, the experience is totally, utterly and quite simply sublime.

PS - We've just noticed, late on a Friday evening (and goodness knows why we were looking), that Katie's 'eyelashes' are COBWEBS! NO! Click on the image and see for yourself!
